BIM enabled digital twins project is anchored in the pressing need to bridge the gap between the digital skills and competences required by the modern workforce and the current offerings of higher education institutions. As the digital transformation accelerates across all sectors, the demand for digitally skilled professionals is surging. Technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D scanning, Product Life Cycle (PLC) assessment, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) are essential for the construction industry, including heritage conservation, and industrial production lines, where efficiency, sustainability, and innovation are key. The project is designed to meet this demand by fostering digital skills and competences through an innovative educational model that combines open and distance learning with hands-on, face-to-face workshops. In this context, the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and businesses cannot be overstated.

Creşterea inovării in Regiunea Vest, Judet Timis prin infiintarea si operationalizarea unui Centru de Inovare si Transfer Tehnologic in cadrul Universitatii Politehnica Timisoara.

Operationalizarea CITT in cadrul Universitatii Politehnica Timisoara
Creșterea numarului de studii de transfer tehnologice în domeniile urmatoarelede specialiare inteligenta : Tehnologii informaționale și de comunicații, spațiu și Securitate; Eco-nano- tehnologii si materiale avansate si Energie, mediu si schimbari climatice in 18 luni de la operationalizarea CITT infiintat in cadrul Universitatii Politehnica Timisoara.
Creșterea numărului de locuri de munca în domeniul tehnologiilor avansate prin angajarea unui cercetator in cadrul CITT in 6 luni de la operationalizarea acestuia
Creșterea numărului de activități internationale realizate de CITT al UPT prin participarea la 2 targuri internationale specifice, in 12 luni de la operationalizare.
Cresterea numarului de transferuri tehnologice cu cel putin un transfer tehnologic in 18 luni de la operationalizarea CITT
